In January 2014, Anando launched its supplementary nutrition programme, Aahar. Now every child who comes to Anando enjoys a nutritious snack! The mainstay is fruits, which are not often included in the regular diet of the children. Milk, eggs (hugely popular!) and peanuts are also included. A survey of the food habits of the families has been undertaken and sessions on nutrition for mothers are being planned.
